Google treats content inside an iframe as part of your site. So we designed the widget around Google's published ad rules, and we show you how it behaves against each one.

No third-party ad scripts run in the widget. Its Content-Security-Policy allows scripts from our own origin and Google Analytics, nothing else.
Our advice for your page
- Use the recommended sandbox attribute. It has no top-navigation permission, so the browser itself stops the widget from ever redirecting your page.
- Keep your ad units clear of the widget's Download area. Google warns against placing download buttons near ads.
- Reserve the widget's height, or add the auto-height script, so your layout doesn't shift.
- Check your Abusive Experience Report in Google Search Console from time to time.

No. It is free for every site, small or large. There is no sign-up, API key or approval. One sponsor tab, at most once every 30 minutes per visitor, keeps it that way.
Are there any limits?
We don't set request limits for your site or your visitors. The limits come from the source: public content only, video up to 720p, and Stories only while they are live. See Limits.
When does the sponsor tab open?
Only when a visitor taps Download on a result, and at most once every 30 minutes on your site. The file starts downloading in the same tap. The button says so first: "Opens 1 sponsor tab". Nothing opens on load, paste, scroll or close. The sponsor policy has every detail.
Will it put my AdSense account at risk?
We built the widget around Google's published pop-up, Abusive Experiences and Better Ads rules, and the table above shows how it behaves against each one. We can't promise how Google will judge your site. Its policies apply to your site independently of this widget, including its rules on download tools and copyright. FlashDL is not affiliated with Google, AdSense, Instagram or Meta, and no third party can guarantee AdSense approval or compliance.
What do you collect about my visitors?
Very little. No accounts, and no history of what people download. The pasted link is used only to fetch the public content. Google Analytics counts loads, lookups and downloads by content type and site name, never the links or usernames, and sets its own cookies. The privacy policy has the details.
How fast is it?
Reels usually load in about a second. Photos, carousels and profiles can take a few seconds, and later pages of a large profile a little longer. While it works, the widget shows the shape of the result, says what it is doing, and offers Cancel and Try again.
Does it work on iPhone and Android?
Yes, on iOS 15 and later and on current Android browsers. On iPhone, Safari may ask the visitor to confirm, then saves the file to Files › Downloads. To keep a video in Photos, they open it in Files, tap Share, then Save Video. On Android, files go to the Downloads folder and appear in the gallery.
What about the Instagram and TikTok in-app browsers?
Built-in browsers in apps like Instagram, Facebook and TikTok often block downloads. The widget detects them and shows how to open the page in the phone's own browser. It never opens a sponsor tab inside them.
Can visitors download from private accounts?
No. FlashDL works only with public content and never asks anyone to log in. If an account is private, renamed or deleted, the widget says it couldn't load it.
Which languages does it speak?
English for now. Every word in the widget lives in one dictionary, so adding languages is simple. Tell us which ones your visitors need.
Can I change the look?
Choose light, dark or auto, and set the width with CSS on the iframe. The widget is designed to blend into your page rather than sit in a box of its own. For anything more, write to us.
Will it slow down my page?
The widget is a small static page with no frameworks, served from Cloudflare's edge. Google Analytics loads only after it is ready to use. With loading="lazy" it loads only when a visitor scrolls near it. Nothing runs on your page unless you add the optional auto-height script.
Can I put more than one on a page?
Yes. One open tool covers most pages. If you show several posts, give each its own iframe with ?url=. Each one looks up its link when it scrolls into view.
How do I get content removed?
We don't host any media, but we can block an account or post from FlashDL on every site that embeds it. Creators and rights holders can use our takedown page.
