Plain rules for visitors who use the widget and publishers who embed it.

These terms cover FlashDL for Instagram (“FlashDL”, “we”). By using the widget or embedding it, you agree to them.

Using the widget

  • Public content only. FlashDL works with content that is publicly available on Instagram. It doesn’t support private accounts and never asks for a login.
  • Respect creators. Save content for your own personal use, or with the permission of whoever holds the rights. Credit creators when you share. You are responsible for how you use what you download.
  • No tracking people. Don’t use FlashDL to follow, monitor or harass anyone.

Embedding the widget

You may embed the widget on your site for free, using the iframe code from our docs. In return:

  • Keep the widget as we serve it. Don’t hide, cover or change it, including the “Opens 1 sponsor tab” line.
  • If you add the sandbox attribute, keep every token our docs list, including allow-popups.
  • Don’t place ads, buttons or other clickable elements over or overlapping the widget.
  • Don’t present FlashDL as your own product, or as made or approved by Instagram, Meta or Google.
  • Don’t embed it on sites with illegal content, malware or deceptive practices.
  • You are responsible for your site, including its compliance with the laws that apply to it and the policies of any ad network you use. If your visitors need to consent to cookies, include the widget in that process.

We may stop the widget from working on a site that breaks these terms or harms visitors.

What is not allowed

  • Calling our servers or API directly, or scraping them, by script or at scale. Our endpoints are for the widget only.
  • Trying to get around how the widget works, extract its credentials, or overload our servers.
  • Reselling the service, or building another API on top of it.

Content and takedowns

We don’t host media. Files come straight from Instagram servers. Rights holders can ask us to block an account or post from FlashDL on our takedown page.

Sponsors

FlashDL is free because of one sponsor tab, described in our sponsor policy. Sponsor sites belong to their owners and have their own terms. Showing a sponsor is not an endorsement.

No warranty

FlashDL is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. Results depend on Instagram and on our data source, and some content may not load.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of data, revenue or profits, arising from the use of FlashDL.

Availability

We aim to keep FlashDL fast and available, but we don’t guarantee uptime. We may change, pause or end the service, or any part of it, at any time.

Changes

We may update these terms. When we do, we change the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use or embed the widget means you accept the updated terms.

Not affiliated

FlashDL is an independent service. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Instagram, Meta, Google or AdSense.
